Pousser les murs

L’architecture tertiaire est caractérisée par sa volatilité et la transposition physique des variations des résultats financiers, de la stratégie managériale, et la gestion des ressources humaines. De fait, les bâtiments doivent proposer une élasticité capable d’absorber des croissances, parfois rapides, mais aussi des reculs, ou des mouvements sociétaux.

La cantine Pyramide est un projet instantané, lié au besoin de pousser les murs d’une entreprise en forte croissance, et dont l’ancienne cantine, seulement vieille de 3 ans, devait être transformée en bureaux pour accueillir de nouveaux effectifs. La disponibilité d’un local à proximité immédiate est saisie pour y installer la nouvelle cantine, le temps que l’entreprise trouve un nouveau site pour y installer son futur siège.

Le montant des travaux rentrant dans une logique d’actif immobilisable, et impactant directement le résultat, le projet dû être réalisé à minima, consistant principalement à la mise aux normes électriques, du traitement de la ventilation, et un rafraîchissement des murs. Le tout dans un délai de 30 jours. La cantine est restée en activité environ 5 mois, avant que le local soit restitué, en raison de la mise en place d’une politique de télétravail, libérant des espaces de travail au sein du siège, et permettant de réintégrer la cantine dans le bâtiment principal.

Pushing the Walls

Tertiary architecture is characterized by its volatility and the physical transposition of variations in financial results, managerial strategy, and human resources management. Thus, buildings must offer elasticity capable of absorbing growth, sometimes rapid, but also declines or societal movements.

The Cantine Pyramide is an instant project, linked to the need to push the walls of a rapidly growing company, whose former canteen, only three years old, had to be transformed into offices to accommodate new staff. The availability of a nearby space was seized to install the new canteen, while the company sought a new site to set up its future headquarters.

The cost of the work, falling within a logic of capitalizable assets and directly impacting the results, had to be kept to a minimum, mainly consisting of electrical compliance, ventilation treatment, and refreshing the walls. All within a 30-day timeframe. The canteen remained operational for about five months before the space was returned, due to the implementation of a teleworking policy, freeing up workspaces within the headquarters and allowing the canteen to be reintegrated into the main building.
